Friday started early with the registration for the Punta Mita Cup, an event I was volunteering for the second year in a row! at 9:00 am sharp all participants headed out to a beautiful day of Golf at the Pacifico and Bahia Signature Jack Nicklaus courses.
Honor guest Lorena Ochoa joined golfers and shared tips throughout the tournament, another addition to this year edition of the Punta Mita Gourmet and Golf Classic was the presence of PGA champion Richard Beem to whom participants in the tournament had the opportunity to challenge at the incredible tale of the whale hole in the Pacifico golf course.
That evening, just in time to admire the sunset we arrived to Aramara restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita to savor Chef Akmal Anuar cuisine, the spectacular five course dinner transported us to faraway lands, with impeccable execution and use of local ingredients such as the yellowfin tuna and asian spices Chef Akmal Anuar achieved perfectly integrated and balanced flavors that were a feast for our taste buds, the tuna tiradito with serrano peppers and the nasi lemak with whitebait were superb! Wines by the Wagner family from the Napa Valley were the perfect complement for this memorable experience.
The evening continued just steps away of the main lobby at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita at the Mezcaloteca, a space conceived by Alfredo Sánchez who is passionate about the spirits of Mexico, tequila and mezcal. Alfredo shared with us his deep knowledge of mezcal and also the extraordinary collection of more than seventy different labels of this heavenly elixir that constitute the Mezcaloteca.
To the rhythm of salsa and surrounded by art and friends we celebrated another wonderful event of the American Express IV Punta Mita Gourmet and Golf Classic.
