On April 3rd I had the opportunity to attend the IV edition of the American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic an exclusive culinary experience in Punta Mita, this four-day celebration with internationally acclaimed chefs regaled foodies and golf enthusiasts with an extensive array of events that revolved around splendid food, wine, tequila and world class golf.
The Opening Cocktail took place this year at the exclusive St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, and featured more than ten interactive food stations where chefs worked their magic and served scrumptious hors d’oeuvres to attendees, guest chefs that night included Floyd Cardoz from North end Grill, Fernando Trocca from Sucre, Guy Santoro, Diane Dimeo, Zahie Tellez, Andrew Ormsby, Olivier Deboise and Antonio de Livier.
The delicacies presented included ingredients like foie gras, corn black truffle, lamb, veal, but the main ingredient definitely was the fresh product of the Pacific coast, yellowfin tuna, oysters, octopus and sea urchin. We toasted with Veuve Clicquot champagne, Casa Madero and Monte Xanic wines, Minerva craft beer and tequila from Maestro Tequilero.
At the end of the night, guests and hosts flocked to the Maestro Tequilero bar and toasted for the success of another wonderful edition of the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic.
