Last Wednesday I headed downtown PV for dinner at Vitea Ocean Front Bistro, participant in the Restaurant Week festival. Although I’ve heard great things about their food this was my first visit.
We arrived around seven pm without a reservation and luckily got a table outside, the perfect spot to witness a magic pink and orange sunset! Quickly more people arrived and by the time the first course was served most tables were occupied.
The goal was to sample most of their menu for Restaurant Week for which my partner in crime and I agreed to order different dishes. We had six out of the nine items listed for the festival, all six were delicious!
Below the pictures of our superb dinner at Vitea.
The flavors of the zucchini soup were perfectly balanced, I love the hint of mint which added freshness to the dish.
The smoothness of the chicken livers and the sweet and tangy sauce make a stelar combination, really good dish.
The fish was crispy, perfectly cooked and the almond – basil pesto went really well with the white wine sauce. A very delicate dish that tastes delicious.
One word to describe it: Exquisite!
The highlight of the night was this mouth-watering dessert, is like eating a “buñuelo” but is ice-cream, so amazingly good.
I love bread pudding and this version was no exception, it was wonderful. Served with warm caramel sauce and whipped cream.
Overall dinner at Vitea Oceanfront Bistro was a great experience, delicious food, good service and a great view, I’m sure coming back to try their regular menu!
Have you visited any of the restaurants participating in the festival? I’m still trying to decide which one to go next and would love to hear recommendations.
